Influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who and The Doors, the band evolved from a 60s beat-group into a 70s rock band. This album includes one of their biggest hits: \"Back Home\" (#1 in the Netherlands, #15 in Germany). Golden Earring archivist and reissue producer Wouter Bessels requested Artone Studio to cut an all-analog cut (AAA), when a playback of the original analog master tape on a Studer A80 machine was cut direct to lacquer on a Neumann VMS-70 lathe. This release marks the first AAA cut of a classic Golden Earring album. The direct-to-disc technique allows a faithful representation of the full musical range and dynamics present on the original tape, without any additional equalization and\/or digital processing.
